"Winston Churchill" by John Perry

Winston Churchill, probably one of the most brilliant minds within the last one hundred and fifty years, has always been a figure of interest, no matter who you are, or what walk of life you hail from.

This books is, in layman's terms, a very simple biography of the very not so simple man. It more or less gives you a basic overview of Churchill, and the life he lead. More or less perry gives you all the information about the man, but lacks to add any sort of character through the writing style of this book. For someone who has never read anything about Churchill though this book may be a good starting point.

I also felt as if this book could have used a bit more detail. A lot of his key events are covered, however, I believe there are a lot of minor things that happened in Churchill's life that are just as interesting if not more interesting.

All and all this book was ok. It was kind of the odd man out in this series and did not really mesh well with the aesthetic of the other biographies within such. I will continue to say that I give this book a three out of five, primarily for the uninteresting approach taken in writing, as well as the lack of deeper information.
