Where is God? I found myself asking that question, more as a generalization, than an interest in the book.
Where Is God is Dr. John Townsend´s attempt at the age of question of ¨why does God allow suffering¨ ¨why do bad things happen¨ and every other tripe cliché question about tragedies occurring in our lives, the lives of others, and the world in general....
What I did like was the fact that that was not entirely his focus in the book. He starts off going on about that sort of thing but takes it to another level, which is not why are these things happening, but what is God trying to teach me through allowing these things to happen?
The book itself is decently written. I mean there is not much that is going to set it apart from any other book on the market, and if you are in more of a meat stage in your spiritual growth it might even become somewhat of a bore. Over the course of the book you really just hear and learn a lot of concepts that most people already know, or could draw pretty easily just by reading scripture.
All in all I would give this book about three out of five. Not bad, but nothing that really stands out either.
